JOB PURPOSE |
The Management Accountant, provides appropriate financial support to help the company’s budget and perform better. Their primary duties include preparing financial forecasts, performing departmental audits and analysing the company’s financial performance. The Management Accountant also analyses the historical financial data of the company to estimate future revenues and expenses, create budgets and generate internal reports that aid planning decisions within the company. However, in others, they may coordinate with external parties to issue reports that Auditors, shareholders and regulatory agencies will use. |
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS |
Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents Measuring the company’s financial performance based on financial recordsIdentifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management Supervising the internal accounting teamPerforming audits of departments within the organisation Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payrollEvaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers Participate in team development by effectively assessing team competency and guiding on the appropriate training programs for competency development. Any other duties as may be assigned. |
Bachelor’s degree in Bcom, BBA & other accounting related
ACCA or CPA
Five years’ Experience
Strong background in basic accounting and financial management
Previous experience in discounted cash flows, business production processes, financial data processing and bookkeeping is also helpful
Detail-oriented and analytical with outstanding maths skills and an in-depth understanding of current accounting principles
Ability to analyse and summarise complex information
Proficiency with spreadsheet and accounting software programs
Knowledge of financial tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team
Good interpersonal skills
High level of integrity
Excellent computer skills with specific proficiency in excel

Problem identification and analysis
