Our client, a human rights organisation promoting safety and security of human rights defenders in Kenya through advocacy, capacity building and protection is searching for talent to fill the following key position
- Prepare periodical financial monitoring reports in the required institutional, donor format and currency.
- Participate in resource mobilization; assist in budgeting for funding proposals in the prescribed guidelines and timelines.
- Prepare financial report to be submitted to the donors.
- Ensure that payment requisitions are done as per donor budget line balances to help proper tracking of budgets.
- Ensure payment Journals, vouchers, staff claims and expense reports are completeness of documentation, accuracy and compliance to organization, donor and statutory policies.
- Make statutory payments including but not limited to PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, WHT, NITA etc.
- Participate in the development and review of internal policies, procedures and guidelines when necessary.
- Ensure that all accounts records are filed in an orderly manner.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations on or before the stipulated deadlines.
- Manage petty cash by keeping updated records and performing cash reconciliations on weekly basis.
- Perform internal audits, including but not limited to, performance audits, financial audits, and compliance audits in accordance to the annual workplan.
- Communicate audit findings on a timely manner to the Finance Manager.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
