Reports to: Head Business Development
Job Purpose:
To identify and respond to new business opportunities as well as manage the fulfillment of
client requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop an annual business plan for products and services to inform business strategy and decision making.
- Develop proposals with solutions that effectively respond to client needs and requests; liaise with internal and external stakeholders and follow through to meet submission deadlines.
- Use business acumen and best judgment to determine appropriate follow up mechanisms to close. business with new and existing clients.
- Identify and quantify clients’ health commodity requirements and manage their fulfilment throughout the client’s value chain.
- Maintain relationships with clients by obtaining feedback, resolving concerns, as well as providing support, information, and guidance.
- Effectively communicate with the client’s target audiences including clients, partners, and suppliers through appropriate channels in line with the company policies and procedures.
- Write and present monthly reports on client needs, new business solutions and challenges in line with the department’s standard operating procedures.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain, or any other related course from a recognizable institution.
- The candidate must have demonstrable business development experience.
- A credit (or above) in English and Mathematics at Ordinary level is a MUST.
- At least 2 years’ experience in such a role at managerial level.
- Prior experience working with a medical supply chain entity is an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in market research analysis and product development.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong and demonstrable sales and business acumen-ship.
- An initiator with strong perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
