Job Purpose:

Overall leadership, management, growth and profitability of the bank’s business within a defined catchment area springing from the respective branch.

Portfolio Growth Develop, grow and monitor branch liability and asset portfolios with the aim of ensuring that the branch remains profitable competitive and promptly reacts to changes in both the internal and external environment.  
Operations Oversee a seamless teller counter and back-office operations process that is in adherence to all operational risk procedures  
Risk and Compliance Implement a strong risk management culture paying attention to credit operational, reputational, compliance and ethical risks in order to reduce losses by prevention and detection  
Provide sound partnership capability with all the group’s strategic business lines including cooperate, institutional and treasury business to ensure all client needs in all segments targeted by the group are comprehensively addressed and business growth objectives in those sectors  
Customer Service Ignite and lead a customer service culture to achieve a customer centric business model where customer needs are placed at the forefront of all our team’s strategies and plans.  
Cost control Drive a cost-efficient business culture that maximizes return on resources utilized and fosters a strict adherence to budgets with minimal variances between the budget and actual performance  
Team Leadership Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, focusing on all aspects of sound people management e.g. Recruitment, Development, Performance Management, Remuneration and Rewards, Career path planning, On-the-job training, coaching & mentoring and Employee engagement

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in business discipline
  • 6years Banking experience with atleast 3years in a Relationship Management role
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Private banking experience is an added advantage
  • Supervisory/management skills
