MARKETING OFFICER – Educational Services

Job Purpose/Objective

To develop, implement, and manage the school’s marketing strategy with the aim of increasing student enrollment, enhancing the school’s visibility, and maintaining a positive public image through effective communication and promotional activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans and strategies in line with the school’s vision and enrollment targets.
  • Design and manage campaigns that promote school programs, achievements, and events to prospective students, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Create engaging content for school websites, newsletters, social media, and other communication platforms.
  • Organize and manage school promotional activities such as open days, career fairs, community outreach, and media engagements.
  • Liaise with design and printing vendors to produce branded materials like banners, flyers, and admission brochures.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing strategies, including enrollment numbers and public engagement metrics.
  • Ensure that the school’s branding and identity are consistent across all materials and platforms.
  • Manage school photography, videography, and documentation for events and campaigns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media houses and local influencers to promote school programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from potential students and parents regarding school programs and admissions.
  • Maintain and update the school’s digital platforms regularly.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitor schools and recommend relevant strategies.
  • Coordinate internal communication on promotions and school values with staff and students.
  • Prepare and submit regular marketing reports to management.
  • Any other duties assigned by the school administration.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Digital marketing and social media proficiency.
  • Photography, video editing, and basic graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students, parents, and staff.
  • Integrity, flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple campaigns simultaneously.
